Full Plot Synopsis —

Matthew Thomas, a withdrawn and deeply haunted late-20s man, inherits a substantial trust fund after the brutal murder of his parents when he was just 12. Plagued his entire life by terrifying nightmares and dissociative blackouts, he leaves Rhode Island behind and relocates to coastal South Carolina, hoping the change of scenery and slower pace will finally quiet the darkness inside him.

He brings with him the one constant in his life: a beautiful parakeet named (Harmony), a tradition started by his late mother — a respected psychotherapist. The bird sings a strangely beautiful, almost hypnotic harmonic tune throughout the day that seems to soothe Matthew… but also triggers something much darker.

On the drive into his new town, Matthew stops at a red light and is noticed by Julie King, a warm, free-spirited local woman.
